HBO plans to turn PlayStation’s “The Last Survivor” game into a TV series

Media reported that the hit doomsday game “The Last Survivor” on PlayStation will be adapted for the HBO series. In addition, “Chernobyl” creator Craig Mazin and game creative director Neil Druckmann will lead the development of the work. It is reported that the release of 2013 “The Last Survivor” is a survival horror game. Players need to follow Joel and Ellie on a series of adventures in the post-apocalyptic United States.

“There is no doubt that Neil is the most storyteller in the video game industry, and The Last Survivor is the great work he created,” Mazin said in a press release. It’s been a long-term dream of me to have the opportunity to participate in this amazing art form.”

Game developer Naughty Dog gets rid of the stereotype of zombies in other apocalyptic works, takes different artistic expressions in “The Last Survivor” and uses a modern infectious disease to render the repressed game atmosphere.

As many works want to convey, the game’s core philosophy is equally implicit lying about the idea that “sometimes human beings are the most terrible thing”.

Joel, a middle-aged man, is understood to have lost his family 20 years before the game began due to an outbreak of infectious diseases. Since then, he has become a smuggler and has been tasked with taking 14-year-old Ellie to the Firefly base.

In addition to adapting the plot of the first-generation game, HBO may also introduce content from the upcoming May issue of The Last Survivor: Chapter 2.

Finally, as the press release shows, Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions are also involved in the development of the project, which could be the latter’s first TV series.
