Microsoft announces Surface Pro X will go on sale in China: $8,488

On the morning of March 6, Microsoft China announced that the new Surface 2-in-1 device, the Surface Pro X, will be officially launched in the Chinese market on March 8, starting at 8,488 yuan. The Surface Pro X is 7.3mm thick and weighs 774g, making it the thinnest Surface product available. On the screen side, the Surface Pro X features a 13-inch PixelSense touch screen with a 3:2 screen scale, 2880 x 1920 resolution, 267PPI, and 1400:1 contrast.

Surface Pro X is Microsoft’s first Windows 10 device with an ARM processor, equipped with an SQ1 processor, developed in partnership with Qualcomm, and an integrated AI accelerator supports LTE networking.

Thinnest Surface

The Surface Pro X comes with two USB-C connectors and can be used with a Surface Pro X Special Professional Keyboard Cover with an ultra-thin pen, A Surface Ultra Pen, and A Surface Arc mouse.

In terms of price, the Surface Pro X 8GB plus 128GB costs 8488 yuan, 8GB plus 256GB costs 9988 yuan, 16GB plus 256GB sells for 11988 yuan, and 16GB plus 512GB sells for 13988 yuan. In addition, commercial customers can choose the Surface Pro X commercial version, starting at 8388 yuan.
